Armed Gunmen

Armed Gunmen

In the news recently was the Fort Hood Shooting at the Fort Hood Military Base in Killeen, Texas.

This is the second time there has been a massacre at that same exact military base.

The last shooting was five years ago. Many believe this shooting was a 5 year anniversary celebration of the last Fort Hood shooting.

This was an unfortunate reminder to myself that I simply have zero tolerance or sympathy for armed gunmen. Period. I have none. They die dishonorable deaths in my opinion and those whose lives they stole deserve memorials. On the other hand I question the reason that armed gunmen do the things they do. I do agree that in many armed gunmen situations it has later been revealed that the shooter was bullied, chastised, hated, and reviled by his peers.

I don't think that's fair.

I think it's beyond all doubt that if such actions could lead to an armed massacre that perhaps what it is that makes people human beings, a soul, can be easily pushed into a corner and made to feel defenseless and, as all know, when you corner something and aim for its weak spot typically it's a life or death scenario for that thing and if it survives than there's no telling just how badly the consequences could be.

Proportional Retaliation was not an option for people such as the Columbine Shooters, the Virginia Tech Shooter, or the Fort Hood Shooters.

Otherwise, why would they have done what they did?

Emo Kids, Raver Kids, and Gangsters

Emo Kids, Raver Kids, and Gangsters

Emo Kids

No. Just no. Emo kids WANT your sympathy. They THRIVE on your sympathy. They're so desperate for it and yet never show any of it. They refuse to show any signs of sympathy with anyone they actually know on a regular basis. Emo kids slash their wrists. I can't sympathize with or support self-harm. They also tend to be pretty low on the intelligence scale. Which, of course, they make up for by making intelligent decisions so long as their favorite band also supports those decisions which isn't actually a viable decision making process but hey.

Raver Kids

Like their emo cousins, raver kids tend to absorb ludicrous amounts of narcotics over a very short period of time oftentimes resulting in the long anticipated and long awaited drug overdose at which point the raver tends to continue affiliating with the same individuals the raver hung out with who dealt them drugs causing the overdose, resulting in a relapse and eventually a second OD. They attend Raves at least monthly but typically weekly or bi-weekly. Have "candy" or an assortment of beads, bracelets, and braid arrangements around the arms and wrists that signify rank, achievement, and stature in the rave community.

Gangsters

Honestly, who has sympathy for those who have none except for perhaps the people they've killed or their "homies" what with their "ride or die" mentalities based entirely on a culture of "us before all else" no matter what it might be save for a bullet wound. Gangsters hustle, they earn, they're oftentimes "strapped" (possess a firearm) and are dangerous. Do not approach if unnecessary as they will likely either try to mug you, disrespect you, or shoot you because they thought you were from a rival gang.

The Meaning of My Life

The Meaning of My Life

The Meaning of Life, an ever elusive question.

84 percent of the world population has faith; a third are Christian. “Worldwide, more than eight-in-ten people identify with a religious group,” says a new comprehensive demographic study of more than 230 countries and territories conducted by the Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion & Public Life.

beautiful, hot, sexy, dangerous
A Beauty

As such one can conclude that the meaning of life for all intents and purposes, for the majority of the population, is predestined, pre-determined, or otherwise....a given.

A better way to phrase the question to one's self so as to ask the question the correct way would be, "What is the meaning of MY life?"

Seeing as the majority of the population already has a pre-determined meaning of existence or meaning of life, the defining of the meaning of my life would be much like defining the meaning of beauty.

It would be in the eye of the beholder.

It would also be like insecurity.

In the mind of the beholder.

A cross between security and beauty.

In my opinion, the meaning of my life would be like a fashion model wearing a bulletproof vest, or riot gear, and rocking the hottest brands and a pump-action shotgun.
