Sibling Appreciation

Sibling Appreciation

Seeing as today is National Sibling's Day I figured well why not discuss siblings?

I actually just finished a vacation with one of my siblings where we took a four day road trip.

It was actually a rather nice trip. There were a few bumps here and there but, in the end, we came out on top. We work together pretty well like that. Unfortunately, not all siblings can share such a happy relationship. I know of many siblings who would get each other thrown in jail, killed, or worse and oftentimes have.

As I always say though, "It could always be worse." When I look at my life and my relationships I acknowledge this fact almost immediately. Luck has blessed me with the great fortunate of an able body, mind, and spirit with which to propel me through the most treacherous of circumstances and situations.

Never, ever, ever forget how lucky you are to have siblings that will always be there for you.

No one else will.

Parental Appreciation

Parental Appreciation

How, if I could, show my parents the much needed appreciation they so desired and desire even now. Some quality time wouldn't be half bad now would it? I actually happen to have a bit of a distant relationship with both sides of the family but for different reasons that eventually result similarly.

In my opinion, they're both awesome in their own ways and deserve more credit. Also it would be my honor to ensure that they meet every last item on their bucket list if possible including and not limited to immortality.

Well isn't that a pleasant thought?
Not for some though.

Friends from many families have explained to me their tumultuous relationships with their parents. Episodes of abuse, rape, molestation, retardation, and so on dot my mind. There can be some very bad people out there who end up parents and don't change for their children.

At that point there is little to nothing that can be done for the parent.

Parents tend to be good however. Households tend to be strong. Family units are designed to keep the family together although, ironically, there is an ongoing movement that is dating the observation that the family unity actually pulls families apart due to the enormous constraints it places on the individuals involved and thus the concept of the nuclear family is an outdated one.

Respect your Parents. Respect your Guardians. They'll do more for you than you'll ever know.

Family First!

It Became Current

And so it was foretold when this blog first started many months ago that, when it did finally reach the point of publicity, it would eventually become current.

So it was foretold and so it has come to pass.

I did not get here on my own. I have to thank EACH and EVERY individual fan, follower, connection, friend, acquaintance, and family member for helping get my blogs to where they are today.

Writing and Journalism was always a passion for me and it is no wonder that I eventually took to blogging.

In the beginning most of my blog topics were, and oftentimes still are, about current events, trending topics, and personal life occurrences.

I've decided to engage in a bit more persona life story telling under a series of pseudonyms as many of the topics i'll be covering are incredibly graphic in nature and the information is incredibly sensitive.

Any revealing of the individuals involved in the stories would be incredibly dangerous.

As such I cannot do so as the information is sensitive and would endanger the lives and livelihoods of many people.

Little of this will be fiction or exaggeration.

Be forewarned.

The Internet

The Internet

I appreciate the Internet more than words can express.

Without the Internet my life would be completely different, guaranteed a million times over.

Can't say for certain whether it'd be for better or for worse however.

Most Millennials know of the personal computer and the Internet, they know little of CERN however.

Nowadays newspapers are becoming obsolete and most people under the age of majority rarely use them.

I can't recall the last time I saw someone actually buy a newspaper from a newspaper box.

CNN has the latest for anyone whose interested in news.

If you need to research an assignment or anything for that matter there's Wikipedia.

If you need money there's plenty on online banks and currencies such as Chase Bank.

If you need food you can easily order pizza online and order groceries through various grocery store delivery programs especially if you're a Senior Citizen or handicapped.

Hell, there's very little you can't get a hold of on the internet.

The Internet
Little.

You can order entertainment, movies, even drugs on the internet.

People in places such as Washington, Colorado, and Uruguay place orders for Marijuana and Hashish to Marijuana delivery services,

Practically anything can be provided via the internet.

School, Food, Entertainment, Mail-Order Brides, a Job.

The internet can provide pretty much everything directly or indirectly.

I can't think of many reasons I don't appreciate the internet.

It wastes time you could spend doing all of the above listed things without the aid of internet technology designed to quicken and simplify the process?

Spam?

Hacking?

Not too many I've been a victim of or don't have procedure for.

Yep, I appreciate the Internet.

South Korea Outlaws Playing Video Games for Minors "After Midnight"

South Korea Outlaws Playing Video Games for Minors "After Midnight"

The South Korean Constitutional Court has made the audacious move of upholding a ban on children 16 years of age and younger playing video games online between the hours of Midnight and 6:00 A.M.

The move is being mocked.

Mocking

Publicly.

Children, teenagers, students and pretty much everyone 15 and younger who plays online video games refuses to obey the law and sees it as a clear infringement on their right to do what they want, when they want.

Apparently the South Korean Constitutional Court agrees that children 15 and under may do whatever they like so long as it doesn't violate they law, but they apparently have the audacity to decide when things that are legal may or may not be done.

So, if I were a 15 year old kid living in South Korea, I'd have the right to play video games.

However, if I play online video games between midnight and 6:A.M., it's illegal.

The smell of my grandmothers skin and bones fumigates my nostrils at the audacity of the South Korean Court to uphold such a law.

Ridiculous, absurd, crony.

I'd understand the fears of online play for children 15 and younger in the sense that they have access to communication with individuals far older than themselves and the audience that plays online games during the hours between midnight and 6:00 A.M., which tends to be adults.

However, this is not the reason that Judges are waving their fingers at children and video games.

"'According to local report [ko], judges determined that the bill was constitutional because “considering online gaming's high popularity, addictiveness and [kids'] overindulgence [in it], it is not an overreaction to regulate gaming for kids under age 16.” They specifically singled out online games, adding, “Online games, as they are based on interactivity on the web, are more addictive and easily lead kids to game for long hours.'"

Judges in South Korea went on to label children 15 and under as "immature" in the eyes of society and lacking in impulse control much like a teacher might chastise their students, ruler in hand.

Wagging Finger

"Bloter.com focused on [ko] the court's definition of kids – “Kids, unlike adults, lack the self-control over how much time is spent gaming” – and wrote that this reflects how society views young people, as merely immature. Other local reports voiced concerns [ko] that this ruling could set a dangerous precedent, tipping the scales in favor for the country's controversial addiction law, which treats online games just like other additive substances and activities such as drugs, alcohol and gambling."

I myself doubt the ability of law enforcement in South Korea to enforce said law.

It's virtually impossible.

You'd need a cop in every house.

Gamer plays a "Real-Time Strategy" Computer Game

Because South Korea treats online games like cocaine, this ruling doesn't seem all that out of the ordinary.

In fact, the judges went on to justify the ruling by arguing that the government had to respect a child's "right to sleep".

Many age 15 and under students who attend "Hagwon", or cram schools, at the same time between midnight and 6 A.M. are pressured to study to the point where they lose sleep and get Insomnia, exhaustion, depression, and even suicidal.

The government has no issue with "children's need for sleep" even with such extreme pressures placed on children to succeed academically but when it comes to video games they're willing to pass a broad-sweeping, virtually unenforceable law which can violate nearly ever South Korean Constitutional Right the South Korean Citizens have.

If the courts can pass laws governing what children are and aren't allowed to do and when whose to say whether they should be able to use their phone in the middle of the night?

What if they're talking with friends late into the night on their phone?

Illegal?

Texting, illegal?

Web surfing, illegal?

Many judges are arguing this law upholds a child's right to sleep but if a child awakes in the midst of a home invasion robbery, or a rape, a murder, or perhaps even witnesses corruption by law enforcement or other government officials at a time late at night when they shouldn't have been awake to begin with...is the testimony inadmissible?

On top of these questions, this law's legal justifications set far-reaching precedents for all sorts of humanitarian and civil rights infringements. It paves the way for corruption by police ad government officials and it creates legal justifications that allow the government to say what you can and can't do in the privacy of your own home and when you can and can't do it.

In America this would never happen, as the boot heels of the American people would be so far up the ass of such a lawmaker that they'd be shitting blood on the bayonet of Capitalism for decades.

The Drug Enforcement Administration

The Drug Enforcement Administration

A little while back I did an article covering various branches of the federal government of the United States and I figured, why not cover them more extensively?

Why not expand?

This time I'll be covering the federal government institution known as the DEA, or the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Now, there's a few things you should probably know about the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Firstly, it wasn't always called the Drug Enforcement Administration or the DEA.

It didn't even have a single name and it wasn't a single institution.

It was two institutions, and each had their own name.

These two institutions were the Office of Drug Abuse Law Enforcement or O.D.A.L.E., and the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs or B.N.D.D.

The Administration didn't even exist until President Richard Nixon decided to merge the two institutions O.D.A.L.E. and B.N.D.D. into the D.E.A., or Drug Enforcement Administration via the Reorganization Plan No. 2 of 1973.

This plan merged O.D.A.L.E. and B.N.D.D. along with several other various preexisting agencies into one massive drug fighting and drug control agency.

The Drug Enforcement Administration draws the majority of its power to enforce the law through the Controlled Substances Act signed into law by Richard Nixon in 1970 which established a list of substances the Federal Government deemed illegal and ranked them according to how dangerous they were with Schedule I being considered most dangerous and Schedule III being considered least dangerous.

The organization has come under massive scrutiny in recent months due to overwhelming intelligence failures and media pressure caused by the 2013 Mass Surveillance Exposures of the National Security Agency and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

In the wake of these revelations, the Drug Enforcement Administration's Special Operations Division (S.O.D.) responsible for wire tapping, intelligence interceptions, and database hacking was heavily scrutinized by the public.

D.E.A. officials have been accused of carrying out search and seizure operations on the basis of profit.

Entire drug operations were collected and taken away regardless of whether they were considered "legal" or not.

Many of these operations were involving the closing of the medical marijuana clinics whose marijuana was being sold to the elderly, disabled, and terminally ill.

Libertarians speaking out against government claim this was a ploy on the part of the DEA to confiscate the funds created by the medical marijuana business as their own.

The current annual budget for the Drug Enforcement Administration is around 1,200,000,000.00 United States Dollars paid for largely by taxpayers. medical practitioners who require D.E.A. licenses to practice their medicines, and seizures of "illegal" contraband from drug businesses who "violate" federal laws.

Libertarians vehemently oppose the existence of the Drug Enforcement Administration and see its very existence as a threat to the civil rights of United States Citizens and all Citizens for that matter.

Libertarians believe that individuals have the right to ingest whatever substance they see fit for whatever reason they specify and interfering with an individuals right to do so is a matter of infringing on their civil rights.

Accordingly, Libertarians argue that when someone ingests a substance and violates another person's civil rights it is a matter of civil rights and not of narcotics.

Agreed.

Many believe the Drug Enforcement Administration has become a massive Drug War Waging Machine.

Much of the violence caused by those involved in narcotics is due to what has been witnessed in terms of brutality by the Drug Enforcement Administration of the United States on domestic and foreign nationals over the course of the "drug war".

Drugs are not the root of the problem when it comes to whether or not America will die.

In fact, the massive cost of the drug war and the violence it creates as well as the hostility towards other nation's citizens is what is killing America.

Policing the world and wanting to be the Cops all the time is fun but think about the people who always have to play the Robbers. Metaphorically speaking, the Robbers are every family, organization, and human being the Drug Enforcement Administration has ever put out of business to fill its own coffers with money and continue waging its Drug War while maintaining its salaries.

The Drug Enforcement Administration terrifies medical practitioners, doctors, alternative medicine enthusiasts, and all manner of individual whose business practices toe the line between state and federal laws on the topic of Controlled Substances regardless if they are up to date with presidential policies on the issue.

If only the Federal Government could understand that allowing the people to decide what to do with their own bodies was worthwhile then maybe drugs would't be such a massive issue in America and the entire world wouldn't need to be under the eye of the D.E.A., N.S.A., and D.A.R.P.A.

Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos

Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos

Apparently Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos is a "thing" now.

The tiny furry friends of many a small child's younger years is being treated to a gourmet cuisine this fine day.

As we all know, hamsters are quite cuddly, cute, and furry. They happen to have a nasty habit of gnawing on your finger however, alongside every other thing that moves.

Revenge was mine.

Anyways, hamsters are quite adorable and there is very little in the way of the obnoxious, adorable cuteness that hamsters radiate.

Burritos, Hamsters.

Burritos, Hamsters.

Tiny.

Nom.

*burp*
